Went to hear one of the female prosecutors for the war tribunal for the former Yugoslavia last night. She was fab, but gosh what a harsh reality. You know that at the same time I was graduating from college women were being put into concentration camps for the sole purpose of having access to women to rape. Many of these Muslim women and girls were taken to homes set up my the military leaders where their troops had access to the girls - to rape them - 24 hours a day. They wanted virgins...several were under 15 years of age. And get this many of them were sold after they had out lived their usefulness, never to be heard from again.

The last time I thought about people being sold was when America had slaves...hundreds of years ago. It's hard to believe that we as a global society have not yet gotten beyong that.

The cool thing - this is the first time in history that RAPE has been considered a war crime. And all of the defendants were convicted.
